Mid North Coast Karate is part of the Goshin Ryu Karate Association, one of Australia’s largest and longest running Karate Associations. Head Instructor 6th Dan Shihan Peter Becroft has over 40 years experience in Martial Arts and has been teaching Karate in the Camden Haven for over 21 years. ​ Mid North Coast Karate has a fully equipped training facility conveniently located at Kew NSW ​ Shihan Peter has been a member of the Australian National Team twice. He has placed 2nd in Kata and 3rd in Kumite at the World Titles. He has also traveled to China twiceto teach Karate. Shihan Peter has an extensive knowledge in Martial Arts and is passionate about passing his knowledge on to others and helping students develop, grow and achieve their goals. Practice in Martial Arts trains the mind as well as the body, resulting in improved self-awareness, self-discipline, confidence and determination. In Children Martial Arts Training can also help improve self-confidence; raise self-esteem and self- discipline; improve focus and concentration leading to higher grades and better school reports; and can help to improve attitude and behavior. Physically Martial Arts training enhances strength, co-ordination, stamina and flexibility. And most importantly, it is FUN! One of the most rewarding activities that you and your child can be involved in is MARTIAL ARTS! The dedication and discipline required to master karate will instill in your child the ABC’s of life: Attitude, Behavior and Character. These traits are essential for success not just at home and in school, but in life. Learning these traits early will help your child develop into a mature, well-rounded and responsible individual. Mid North Coast Karate is part of the Goshin Ryu Karate Association- one of Australias longest running clubs. Goshin Ryu Karate also has clubs throughout the world. Mid North Coast Karate is a strong family orientated club located in Kew NSW. Classes are available for all levels and ages from 3 to Seniors Mid North Coast Karate is by 6th Dan Shihan Peter Becroft. Shihan Peter began his journey with Goshin Ryu Karate over 40 years ago and has been teaching in the Camden Haven for over 21 years. He has a wealth of knowledge in Kata & Bunkai. Shihan Peter Becroft has represented Australia Placing 2nd in Kata and 3rd in Kumite. He has also been to China twice to teach.
